Raised in Maryland in a family with Indonesian roots, Lita Argubie has always been drawn to learning, reflection, and the connections between different areas of life. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in International Development from American University, and later a master’s certificate in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University. Her professional career led her into the satellite technology sector, while her interests continued to span biological science, information technology, languages, finance, faith, and human experience. Writing became another way for Lita to explore the questions and experiences that remained with her. Her first book, Beyond the House on the Corner, grew from deeply personal events involving her father, childhood home, dreams, intuition, family, and faith. She is married, has two children and two grandchildren, and enjoys spending time with family, long walks, thoughtful conversations, travel, and discovering stories in unexpected places.
